Is there any way to enable/disable Apple Watch notifications from HA?
I would have thought not showing the app on the watch would do it? Through the apple watch app on your phone? or through the notifications in the same app
No I want to be able to turn on/off notifications on apple watch. Example I have a 6am alarm on weekends but I only want the watch to vibrate not ring. So I’d like an automation to put the watch in silent mode at 10PM and turn that off at 8AM via an automation. Sleep mode on the watch doesn’t silence alarms.
Ok so to answer my own question you can’t from Home Assistant (or maybe it’s possible in some convoluted way). But the good news is you can do it using the shortcuts app on your iphone. If you open the app you will see an automations tab at the bottom where you can create a time-of-day automation (amongst other types) that calls the service on the watch called silent. So 2 automations and I’m good. (Well 3 actually as I like to re-enable notifications a bit later on weekends) I always thought that sleep mode should do this OOTB but doesn’t but this works just asb well.
