We got two of the Aqara C1 pet feeders for Christmas at our house. Running ZHA on a CC2652 adapter. I have an automation that feeds from both at 4,8,12am and 4,8,12pm. This works perfectly. But, one of the feeders has fed every morning at 6am from day one. I have reset it and re-added twice to no avail. In the logbook it says: “Last Feeding Source changed to undefined_0x00”. Any thoughts?
I have 2 of these and had exactly the same problem, I am assuming you are doing the feeding through an automation, as I started by using the schedule, then deleted that and did it through HA, still didn’t work then came across a weird thing on you tube, if your change the mode to Schedule reboot, then back to Manual and reboot, it has now been working beautifully for months.
Worth a try?
Thanks. I did as you suggested. It’s 6:06am and it appears to have worked.
How did you get the C1 to bind with ZHA?
I set the pairing mode on the feeder than just got ZHA to search for it.

rebooting the device? home assistant?
I initially set mine up and its been dispensing food every hour. Dont know how to stop it from doing so as I dont have an Aqara hub.
Hold the round icon button down on the front for 5 seconds until the LED flashes.
My HA found it instantly.

Not sure what the OP did, but I changed the mode to schedule and then power cycled the feeder, then changed it to manual and power cycled again - so far it seems good, but it also hasn’t been 24 hours…
If it’s dispensing every hour, you might want to try clearing it by holding the reset button for 5 seconds (though note you’ll have to re-pair it)
Hello everyone,
I previously had the Smart-Pet-Feeder-C1 successfully paired with Home Assistant using Zigbee2MQTT, and it worked perfectly.
Recently, I upgraded my setup from a Raspberry Pi to a new computer, performed a clean installation of Home Assistant and Zigbee2MQTT, and re-paired all my Zigbee devices except for the Smart-Pet-Feeder-C1.
Here’s what I’ve tried so far:
-
I set Permit join all in Zigbee2MQTT.
-
I pressed the right button on the feeder to initiate pairing and waited for the blue LED to start blinking. It blinks for a short time and then stops.
-
After the blinking stops, the device does not appear in the Zigbee2MQTT device list.
I double-checked the device compatibility, and it is listed as supported: Smart Pet Feeder C1 - Zigbee2MQTT
Does anyone have any ideas on what I might be doing wrong?
Thank you in advance for your help!
