Hi, i am too a newcomer. i can see aqara hub and button in homekit, but not in homekit bridge integration in homeassistant! Do you have a idea?
thx
Jonvelle
I haven’t utilized an Aqara hub at all, so I don’t have that experience to share. But if you want something to be integrated into HA that is Homekit compatible, you have to remove it from Homekit first. Once in HA, one can use HA’s Homekit Bridge to share it with Apple/Siri.
Thank you very much, my friend. I actually have a few devices in HomeKit and HA now. I just don’t understand the structure. Then there is the fact that I would like to continue learning the devices via the Aqara app or its gateway, because the devices have a not so good radio performance, and I had malfunctions again and again, for example, with the button for my rainwater! I therefore also let my lights and HUE sensors in their gateways (each of my three floors controls HUE via its own gateway!) Then I have a Homematic IP Gateway and an Ecowitt Gateway (weather station). If something goes wrong with Homeassistant, I quickly have the opportunity to control everything further. Of course, except for the HA automations. But I am slowly testing the programming and have a lot to do as a pensioner ;-). Now I have to see why HomeKit shows me one of 5 Roller Shade Driver E1 as a window in safety! Must have something underlying the Aqara Gateway and its security feature. So I may have to delete the gateway and this one driver again and relearn it? Let’s see. So thank you very much, and I’ll get back to you. Greetings, Jonvelle
