Aqara E1 wall switch (with neutral) not updated in Home Assistant

Hi,

I just added sucesfully a couple of Aqara E1 wall switches (with neutral) to my Zigbee network
They were both easily discovered and added to home assistant. They work perfectly when I switch them on and off from home assistant, the problem is that if I do that with the aqara swith itself, the swith works, but the status is not updated in home assistant, ie if I press the aqara switch the lights turn on, but the home assistant shows them as off
It seems to me that the zigbee cordinator is not getting a message with the update from the switch, which is strange becasue is getting the messages from the rest of the zibee devices and most of them are aqara

I am using zigbee2mqtt (version 1.28.4-1) and mosquito (6.1.3 version) with the ZIGBEE 3.0 USB DONGLE PLUS E version (not P version !!) as a zigbee hub
I have not done any firm update in this dongle as there is no update after the dongle was released

Did anyone got this problem before? Any help would be appreciated

Had the same problem and for me it worked to remove from z2m and pair again a couple of times…

Thanks a lot jymdman, it also worked for me

Hi,

Appreciate this was from a while ago but recently got a pair of E1s and experiencing same issue with similar set up to OP. Removed and rebound in z2m but it has not resolved problem. Have those that posted still got working switches. Are there any other suggestions for a fix!

TIA,

Johnny

The problem is not the switch. I had 8 switches paired with ZHA, but wanted to use the decoupled option, so erased them and paired them with zigbee2mqtt, and that is when this problem started to show. I had the ventilator running all night just fine when it was with ZHA, but with Z2M I wake up to the ventilator off.

Been trying to solve this issue but everytime I find this topic people are looking for solutions in the hardware when it is obviously a handler problem.

I have managed to keep it alive in Z2M by making an automation that is constantly asking for the state of the device (is it on or off). I managed to make it every minute, which is, maybe, a little overboard. I will make it ask every hour and see if it keeps the switch on; But so far I am satisfied.

Have same problem with both “Aqara E1 1 gang switch (with neutral) (QBKG40LM)” and “Aqara E1 2 gang switch (with neutral) (QBKG41LM)”. Solution with re-pairing doesn’t work. Probably anybody knows how to solve this issue?

Same problem with SOME H1 E1 with neutral EU. 2 of my 4 WS-EUK03 are working. 0 of my 4 WS-EUK04 are working. No luck with deleting and re-pairing multiple times.

The two that work show correct power, energy, temperature and power outage count and correctly update home assistant.

The 6 that don’t work show null for power, energy, temperature and power outage count and don’t update home assistant.

Z2M 1.33.2
Coordinator revisions tried unsuccessfully: 6.10.3 and 7.3.1.0
All switches on 11/10/2021 firmware

I have the same with Skyconnect dongle, maybe someone who has ZHA (and moved from/to Z2M) confirm what is the behavior in general?

Hello community.

I am thinking of buying this device, but I am afraid of the comments I read.
I am an owner of a couple of D1 (and others) wall switches without problem*. SInce I need a couple more, and D1 don’t really fit in a european wall box, I was thinking to give E1 a try.

Is the same device working properly in ZHA? Because if this is the case, maybe it’s Z2M problem, and not of the device. Maybe this should be reported there.

* I do have one switch ( QBKG03LM ) that turns off my itself randomly, but since I have 5-6 of those and only one is doing this, I was expecting bad quality of the specific switch (not the model). Maybe this E1 has the same problem?

Is this topic really solved? I just bought a couple of Aqara E1 and they work as expected on ZHA but they do not work as expected on Z2MQTT (They work perfectly when I switch them on and off from home assistant, the problem is that if I do that with the Aqara switch itself, the switch works, but the status is not updated in home assistant, ie if I press the Aqara switch the lights turn off, but the home assistant shows them as on.)
