Hi,
I have tried searching but can not find a answer. I have successfully gotton the Aqara Hub E1 intergraded with HA by using the homekit integration. I am able to see all my door sensors in HA and the Aqara app on my iphone.
I have recently bought the Aqara cube. The Aqara app see the cube just fine but HA doesn´t pick it up at all.
Do I have to use a different zigbee dongle to get the cube to work in HA? I really don´t want to have to buy another hub. Is there any way to use the Aqara Hub E1?
Yeah, I had lots of problems with the Cube. Is it a HomeKit compatible Cube? I bought one a couple years ago back when that wasn’t an option and tried to add it to HA using my existing Zigbee dongle. But that suffered from time out problems – it would drop the connection and never reconnect after a few minutes. To solve that, I bought the E1 hub which can see the Cube fine and does not drop the connection. But the Cube does not appear in HA after I link the E1 using HomeKit Controller – I assume because it’s not HomeKit compatible. Actually, even though my other devices (door sensors) show up, they don’t actually report any status or anything, so I’ve got to find a way to fix that.
So there are two different version of the cube? I just google it and there is a T1 pro version that is open to homekit. Maybe that would work. The version I have does’t seem HomeKit compatible.
I gave up trying to get the cube t1 to work with only the aqara hub e1. I bit the bullet and bought the sonoff zigbee 3 dongle. I installed zigbee2mqtt and am using a blue print that I found on the forum. It’s all working
