Aqara Lumi temperature sensors and ZHA not showing values only triangles

I have multiple Aqara sensors - both door sensors and temperature sensors. I can add them all to ZHA but only about half of them shows the actual values. For the other half I get these triangles and no values. Any idea why this happens? I’m using a Conbee 2 stick and recently moved from Deconz to ZHA.

Thanks!

Aqara/Xiaomi/Tuya battery-powered devices are infamously known for having problems pairing/joining due to either having low batteries or going to sleep during the initial pairing/joining interview process.

Other than the general tip of always using fresh batteries when initially pairing/joining them there are several guides and tips out there that specifically go through specific and/or generic tips for keeping Aqara/Xiaomi/Tuya battery-powered devices awake during the pairing process.

Generally you will just need to re-pair/re-join them and try keep them awake by pressing some button on them every few seconds or during the whole pairing/joining interview process.

It also helps to have the latest firmware on the Zigbee Coordinator adapter, using a long USB extension cable to a USB 2.0 port or USB 2.0 hub (not USB 3.0 port/hub), and have a strong Zigbee network with many known good Zigbee Router devices, read → https://github.com/zigpy/zigpy/wiki/Generic-best-practice-tips-on-improving-Zigbee-network-range-and-general-stability

Thanks @Hedda,

I’ve followed this guide and done all of this. I also planned the Zigbee network throughout the house with router devices and repeaters to form a solid network. Conbee 2 stick is on a USB extension without any interference. All other devices are working flawlessly. It’s just the last 4-5 Aqara units that refuse to send the values. Very frustrating.

I guess I just have to try again and again…
