New to HA and am having difficulty adding my M2 and M3 hubs to HA. I reset the zigbee child devices and added those in manually, but the hubs are proving difficult. M2 Hub sometimes shows up within the homekit device add but hangs on the adding process and never completes. The M3 hub doesn’t even show up.
Also, would i be able to use the IR remote and speaker features of the hubs in HA? I have seen conflicting information on that.
I found the below useful to add the hub as a matter device but, to your point, I have also not yet been able to find a way to control the speaker or IR remote from HA.
I found if you set up an automation in the Aqara App,you can share that via matter to HA.
I have a dumb Stanley electric fire under my TV, and set up a scene in the Aquara App to turn it on, and then start the heater.
when you have the m3 hub and you have it integrated to home assistant matter, in the aqara app under profiles/ thirdparty eco systems click home assistant and then you can create a signal for any action of the aqara products connected to the m3… the signal will then show up in the HA matter integration.
