Unfortunately, scenes created in the Aqara app are also not passed on to HA if the M3 Hub is linked to HA as HomeKit! If the M3 Hub is linked to Apple Home with HomeKit, they work there.
Via 7 corners you can of course create an automation in Apple Home via the HomeKit Hub function of HA to then control virtual switches from HA!!! but that can’t be the right way?
Set the M3 Hub up as a matter bridge. I found if you set up an automation in the Aqara App, you can share that via matter to HA.
Each automation appears in the Matter integration as a device, and you can add them to cards as switches. I have a dumb Stanley electric fire under my TV, and set up a scene in the Aquara App to turn it on, and then start the heater. The same in reverse for turning it off.
I then added them to my HA dashboard.
FYI, for simple actions you just want to trigger from HA (e.g. send volume up IR signal) - scenes work better than automations.
So you need to:
From the main app screen, press automations at the bottom
On the scene tab, add a new scene and click action - from here you can select “Accessories” → select your IR device (that you’ve already set up) and the button you want to trigger
Name your scene and save it
Back on the aqara app main screen, click Profile → Connect to Ecosystems → HA → Scene and Signal Sync → Scene Sync → Add Sync
The only choice will be to sync through matter and when you save, it should appear as an device under the matter integration. Initially it appears as an outlet
