Aqara mi devices made them work locally

Hi people, i have a question i would like to use xiaomi mi smart wifi plug locally on my zigbee2mqtt+ha… in this moment i can see the smart plug (i got their ip and token and i added manually) now i would like to know how i can use them without internet but in local. My pi4 is connected by internet with wifi.

In this moment im not using any aqara gateway. I read that i can change the ip through an old version of xiaomi mi app. Im already using an old 5.4 any suggestions?

You can’t use the wifi plug with zigbee2mqtt. I guess you will need an aqara gateway for that.

If it’s a WiFi version plug needing the token to work with HA, you can not use it with Zigbee2MQTT as it’s not a Zigbee plug. There are 2 models of those plugs, a WiFi version and a Zigbee version.

The WiFi plugs don’t require the hub, the Zigbee plugs do, or, can be used with Zigbee2MQTT.

This is not good practice. Plug it into Eth.

Sorry, i expressed myself bad. The devices (some zigbee and some wifi) are working perfectly but… before i continue a question. The smart wifi plug have a local address? They work totally in my net in this case?

About wifi, in this moment i have access to internet only by mobiledatas… i have a router tplink that i want to configurate with the pi4 but with no access to internet i cant link my xiaomi devices(maybe?!)

I used to use both the Zigbee and WiFi version myself, but not for a while, so this is from memory.

You’ll need to have the WiFi plug connected to WiFi and to be on the same network at the Pi4. You need to give the plugs a reserved, or static IP in the router and then use that IP along with the token in HA.
