Aqara new release G100 camera

RTSP, USBC, WiFi unfortunately, etc etc. $34.99 is a killer price though.

I got one, it’s a good camera, does pretty much everything I was looking for, local storage, backup to NAS, etc. But, I’ve not been able to get it into HA. Contacted their support and they say does not support HA, despite having it down as ‘compatible with Home Assistant’ and the HA logo on their product page… yay.

It is sorta, kinda, compatible I have mine hooked in to Generic camera in HAOS.

The RTSP path is in Device settings in their app. In order to see the paths, name and password, I had to update the firmware, close and reopen or refresh.

But only does RTSP without frigate. I dont have enough VM horespower for Frigate and I dont have a Coral tpu either.

I have managed to get it into HA via RTSP… but the ‘guidance’ they sent me for this was hopeless. Thankfully I found a guide on here. Maybe they’ll add deeper intregation later, because it is a great camera all round, full HA integration would be the icing on the cake.

I sent it back to Amazon. Wyze is working on it slowly, whether it’ll be RTSP only or perhaps some sensors or an API, I have no idea. Just new cameras or backward compatible firmware is unknown.

Next trial and test is a Reolink Wi-Fi Lumus Pro. $79 though. Reolink supposedly has a great integration. I’ll find out soon. Lol

Hi,
Can you share the link where you found the guide?
Thanks.

Can you let us know the location of the guide? My setup hangs when it tries to generate the stream image in the second stage of the setup.
