Aqara P1 will not connect

I have a Conbee II stick and use ZHA. i have multiple units on the network all have worked fine. i also have older P1’s that connects just fine, now i bought 4 new ones, and they just don’t show up when i try to connect them.

any ideas what could be wrong?
they light up as they should when i press the reset button for 5 seconds.

Bumping this as I have exactly the same problems.

Just bought two new P1’s. Not able to connect to ZHA at all. No issues with the 6 other P1’s I have of older date.

@Rene54321 Are you able to provide a production date? On the box my new P1’s came in, the little sticker on the packaging says production date 06/2023.

Edit: I’m on ZHA with a Sonoff ZBDongle-P

I just received a few Aqara P1 motionsensors. They won’t pair with HomeAssistant Zigbee2Mqtt and Sonoff dongle Plus.
Next day I managed to pair the devices: I put the device very near to a router, then in Zigbee2Mqtt Permit join (that router), then press button on the back of the device for 5 seconds. Then the device paired.

I have the Sonoff Zigbee Dongle P as coordinator and also could not pair Aqara P1 motion sensor using Zigbee2MQTT.

I found that to reliably pair them you need to select one zigbee router (or your coordinator) that is within easy reach, bring your Aqara sensor very close (almost touching) to the router and press and hold the reset button on the Aqara sensor. Count for 5s and in Zigbee2MQTT click “Permit Join ()” (pairing process through that specific router and not another one) to start the Zigbee2MQTT pairing process at the same time the Aqara sensor enters pairing mode (blue LED flashing). After that you can release the button.

I managed to pair 5 Aqara P1 motion sensors in a row whereas i tried for an hour before that.
