Good evening everybody,
I was wondering if I’m the only one struggling with this issue, or if someone else has encountered it and might have a suggestion for me.
I’ve been using an Aqara smart plug for about a year now. Suddenly, the smart plug has started measuring unrealistically high power values — for just a millisecond or so. This happens randomly, not when I’m switching devices on or off.
I suspect that the overcurrent protection kicks in when this spike occurs, briefly turning the plug off and on again (within about 1 ms). The plug is connected to a PC setup — and the switch happens so quickly that the PC stays on, but the monitors turn off and then back on again.
You can imagine how annoying this is…
Has anyone experienced similar behavior with Aqara plugs?
Should I reset the Zigbee configuration?
Could it be a hardware issue? I would assume that a normal spike wouldn’t exceed 2300W, which is the plug’s rated limit.
