Aqara Smart Plug no longer reports measurements?

I just bought three new Aqara Smart Plugs (to join the 2 I’ve been using for months now). The new ones do not report any measurements, neither power nor energy.

The model numbers are identical between the new and old (SP-EUC01) and Home Assistant reports the same firmware for both units. However, it’s exposing different sensors for the newly paired units.

How do I troubleshoot this?

I have:

  • Removed and re-paired the devices several times
  • Updated Home Assistant
  • Rebooted HA
  • Waited several days

TLDR: I had to update the firmware of my Zigbee Coordinator (Conbee2) and then re-pair all the plugs to get them working.

Firmwares for the Conbee are available here: Index of /win/
Instructions for flashing here: Update deCONZ manually · dresden-elektronik/deconz-rest-plugin Wiki · GitHub

I opted to shut down HA and move the Conbee to my windows machine so I could flash it from a local terminal. It worked fine and my zigbee mesh came back online with no issues when I booted HA up again.

The plugs had to be removed and re-paired for the power sensors to start providing measurements though.

This was the solution for me too. Steps in this order! ))
