Aqara T2 decoupled mode

Hi

I’d like to use an Aquara T2 in the control box of a portal. The T2 is powered with 230V and added to my Yellow via ZHA which reports two switches and a handful of sensors for power consumption etc.

Interlude: The official manual is really useless. :frowning:

The configuration options feature “decoupled” mode for either switch and I’ve selected it on both. My understanding of this: The relays between LOUT and L1/L2 are controlled by the switches created on Home Assistant, but a change in state between OUT and SW1/SW2 does not affect the relays (hence decoupled).

Does this render the OUT/SW1/SW2 contacts useless? I was expecting some way to read their state anyways so I can use them to connect the doorbell button without having to install a second Zigbee device. Can this be done somehow?

Thanks for your help!

Figured it out, the OUT/SW1/SW2 contacts in decoupled mode are reported, just not displayed on the device page.

Could you please share where they reported? I have the same issue

Sure thing. Here’s how I use the OUT/SW1 as trigger in an automation:

The device is called “Portal” here, so it looks as follows in the visual editor:

Hope this helps.
