Hello. I’m brand new within this field, so there might be a very simple solution to this.
I have a SONOFF ZB Dongle-P V3.0 and I try to connect my Aqara temperature/huminity sensor to in using Zigbee2mqtt. The sensor is brand new and is found directly and I can give it a new name, but it doesn’t recieves any values. It says the interview state was successful and I can see the LQI value, I cant see the temperatur, huminity or last seen, the only sign of connection is the LQI value.
I’ve resetted and reinstalled it several times with the same outcome. I have an Aqara motion sensor and a Namron smart plug, both of these gives me data. But all 4 connected sensors and on the Z2N view, the Last seen Is N/A.
Does anyone have had similar issues? How can it be solved?
If it is brand new (as in a brand new type) then it is possible it isn’t supported yet. Aqara is known for not following the usual standards. Did you check the compatibility list:
The problem occurs with my second aqare temperatur sensor aswell, so I asume it’s something wrong with my setup. I tried changing battery, but that didn’t make a different.
Nothing happens if you breathe on it either? You haven’t said much about the setup, are you using an extension cable on the dongle for example? When you say you don’t see values, is that in HA or in Z2M (or both)?
Remove the device from Z2M. Pair it again, but this time after putting it in pairing mode, keep short pressing the button every 1-2 seconds until the interview is complete.
No, nothing happens when I breath on it either. I have a raspberry pi 4 and an extension cable on the dongle. I’ve successfully connected an aquaria vibration sensor and a Namron (zigbee) smart plug. But still I@m not able to get any values from my temperatur/humidity sensors. In the availability column it says Disabled on all my devices, it should say enabled I assume?
I found an old Aqara temperatur sensor and it connected and gives me data, so it seems like it´s only the new Aqara temperatur sensors that won’t work correctly.
You mentioned that the devices show as disabled - did you mean the entities for the Aqara such as temperature, humidity and battery level show disabled? If so, click on each of them and see if they can be enabled.
I just had an Aqara (lumi) temp and humidity sensor become unavailable because of a low battery and couldn’t get it to report any data after replacing the battery and waking it up. I had to remove the device from HA, factory reset the sensor, and then add it back to HA. Once it was back in HA, all of its entities were disabled and I had to re-enable each of them. This started quite a few versions ago where new devices are added with all or most entities disabled.
That’s not your issue. What you’re seeing is the Z2M availability setting which lets Z2M know if a device drops offline.
It has no effect on the entities being enabled or disabled.
Thanks for sharing. I ment the device was disabled, not the entities, but the device now says enabled. Entitis was enabled, so I tried to disable and the enable them, the problem is still there after I did it. I’ve seen some other forums where people say they are struggeling with the same sensors on the same setup.
