Aqara vibration sensor detected as unknown door lock

I have an Aquara vibration sensor (DJT11LM) that when I connect it it isn’t detected properly.
It’s detected as unk_model door lock.
I tried changing the battery, re-pairing the sensor and reconfiguring in HA.
the log shows the following error:

WARNING (MainThread) [homeassistant.components.zha.core.channels.base] [0x8884:1:0x0101]: async_initialize: all attempts have failed: [TimeoutError(), TimeoutError(), TimeoutError(), TimeoutError()]

Anyone else had the same issue? can this sensor be configured manually?
