Hey all.
I recently got the Xiaomi Aqara Vibration Sensor. My plan was to use it to make an old school electro magnetic doorbell smart, as it vibrates quite heavily when ringing. FYI: I tried to use a doors sensor here as well, without any luck…
My current issue is that the sensor is not sensitive at all. I did set the sensitivity to 1 (high) via deConz and the API, which seemed to have worked (using this guide). But I have to really aggressively shake the sensor to get anything.
I’ve heard of people using it to detect door knocks and other things, so I am guessing something is wrong here as it would never pick that up in my case.
Does anyone have experience with this sensor and know what could be the issue? Thanks in advance.
P.S.: I’ve seen a couple of similar posts here, but unfortunately they didn’t help me solve the problem yet.
