Aqara water leak sensor false positive (ConBee II/deconz)

I have 5 Aqara water leak sensors (lumi.sensor_wleak.aq1), and a few days ago, 4 of them all went from “dry” to “wet” within 30 minutes or so. I am running HA core (2023.9.3), and I am detecting the sensors via ConBee II + deConz.
Shorting (“wetting”) the sensor and opening the poles as described elsewhere did not work to reset the sensors. Also, leaving them just sit overnight would not make them go back to the correct “dry” state. Also, neither pushing the button on the sensor, nor restarting deConz, nor (cold) restarting the computer running HA, nor unplugging and replugging the ConBee fixed the problem.

After an inspection of /var/log/apt/history.log, I found that deConz had just updated 2 days prior to 2.23.01-ubuntu-bionic-stable, and the restart mentioned above was the first restart after the upgrade. I suspected that the problem was due to a regression, and I downgraded deConz to 2.22.02. I also downgraded the ConBee II firmware from 26780700 to the previous version 26720700, since I had noticed that the previous version had run more stable and reliable.
It turns out that these downgrades completely resolved the problem. The sensors went from “wet” to “dry” again after a few hours (as soon as the sensors updated).
Case closed.
