Aqara Wireless mini switch WXKG11LM not responding. (z2mqtt)

Hi, I’m new to HA and I am using
OS Version: Home Assistant OS 12.3
Home Assistant Core: 2024.5.5
with SONOFF_Zigbee_3.0_USB_Dongle_Plus_V2 (Dongle-E).

My WXKG11LM is not working (not sending payload message).
Checked the z2mqtt device list, looks like it has good LQI (255) .
also z2mqtt log shows no error message.

After pressing the pairing button(works everytime), mqtt log shows:

MQTT publish: topic ‘zigbee2mqtt/AQ_btn_01’, payload ‘{“action”:null,“battery”:100,“device_temperature”:35,“linkquality”:255,“power_outage_count”:493,“voltage”:3015}’

but when pressing auction button its ALMOST not working all the time. I said almost is because it does work for very rare chance.

I have tried repaired it but nothing change. Is there anyone have familiar issue?
or where should I dig into? any advice would be apricated.

Double check if there’s another message in the log immediately before that showing the action part populated.

Otherwise just look at the device logs in HA logbook section or on the device page in HA, since that’s a bit easier to read.

Action immediately reverts to null as soon as receives a message. This is intentional and configurable - have a look through the Z2MQTT docs for more info.

Hi, I’m having the same issue. I have one device connected directly via MQTT and two devices connected via Z2MQTT. The only device not connecting is the Aqara Wireless Mini Switch (WXKG11LM). One of them is just a meter away from the Sonoff dongle, so it’s definitely within range.

Everything was working fine until about a week ago. The only change I can think of is the update to Z2MQTT and HA that happened around that time, which might have caused this problem.

There are no errors appearing in the log.
