Arc Ultra mp3 and TTS Issues after updates

I have two Sonos setups attached to Home Assistant; Living Room and Bedroom. The Living Room is an Arc Ultra surround system, the Bedroom is a pair of Play 1’s.

Until recently, I haven’t had any issues streaming, playing mp3 files or TTS announcements from HA to both systems.

I came home from an extended vacation and applied a slew of updates. I’m now at:

Hardware: Home Assistant Yellow

Installation method: Home Assistant OS

Core: 2025.8.1

Supervisor: 2025.08.1

Operating System: 16.0

Frontend: 20250811.0

The Bedroom system continues to work as expected.

I’m now having two (possibly related) issues with the Living Room (Arc Ultra) system.

  1. It will no longer play mp3 files from the My Media folder. However, if I copy the file from My Media to a folder on the attached Network Storage, it will play from there. (The Bedroom system will play the file from either location.)

  2. TTS announcements no longer play. I have ElevenLabs, Google Translate, Home Assistant Cloud and Piper set up. None of them will play through the Living Room, all play through the Bedroom.

I can’t see anything related in the logs. I’ve tried removing and re-adding the integration and removing and re-adding the system in the Sonos app.

I’ve gone through extended troubleshooting with ChatGPT and haven’t been able to resolve it. It’s suggesting that it’s related to Living Room being a surround system and potentially caused by a code change within the integration.

Your help sure would be appreciated!

Same here… I suspect this is why chime_tts is also not working

I’m also noticing that, even after an mp3 file is played successfully on Living Room from the NAS, the state (Developer Tools> State) is not updated, although it is for Bedroom.
