silly question, once i add an esphome integration in Hassio (sorry, can’t remember the new name) will HA pick up any changes to the esphome yaml, if i add extra sensors for example?

If your devices (nodes) are online and detected in the ESPHome plugin within HA, and you compile and upload firmware to these devices (including adding sensors/buttons etc) then yes, these will be detected in HA.
