Are there any cheap LCD dot matrix projectors out there?

I’m looking for a cheap LCD projector module similar to the ones found in projector alarm clocks, except using dot matrix as opposed to “digit only” only displays. I want to hook up an Arduino to this that displays arbitrary text received via MQTT such as sensor information, alarm system status or just the time and weather.

Not looking for a TV style projector as those are too bulky and have the need to warm up or consume lots of power.

It can be single colour, I just need a way to project some pixels into the wall.

How about a Pico projector? They are pocket sized and use LEDs so no warm up.

@danny I’m looking for something like this as well, to replace an old and failing projector clock.
Did you find anything that could be used for this purpose?

I didn’t find anything suitable. Those alarm clock projection modules are nowhere to be found.

It looks interesting, but there’s a bit of work and equipment needed in order to build one.
