One of the biggest pains is to have to add individual entities one by one to areas. There should be a way to open up an Area and then click “add” and then individually check entities to add to that area. The current way of moving entities into Areas is absolutely brutal.
I just started using Glances and running into the same problem. The Glances integration is in an area, but the 45 entities that come with it are not, I hope there will be a way to add all entities to an area in one go, otherwise I’m gonna be busy when adding more devices with Glances…
It feels plain strange that it’s not possible to filter in the entities and devices screens, make a filter, select all entities and then batch assign them to an area. It feels like a major UX oversight.
This is what I was assuming it was going to be also, that is intuitive
There is now the option to add a Label to multiple entities, but still no areas
This is truly nuts. They added labels but not areas. I don’t understand this… Yes, resourcing but one would imagine once support for bulk editing AND for adding to labels is added, areas will be trivial. I guess one would be wrong…
This worked great! Thank you for this
This is still an issue?!
Bugger! Such a simple thing too, makes me wish I was more than a novice programmer.
Well… guess I’m spending the next several hours clicking through menus to assign areas to my 700 devices that got imported from C-Bus
