Hello,

bachoo786 would you mind installing this apk and let me know if duckdns works with it?
http://surodev.com/ariela/app-release.apk
inutilis the same apk will allow user continue setup without allowing location permission.

General question: was the Firebase functionality tried by anyone? Can you let me know how it works?

Thank you,
Ionut

hey @lonut I just tried it and it tells me server connection failed…connection to home assistant server failed Please check the URL / IP provided and try again.

So its not working.

Great! Location permission granting can now be skipped.

Since I am not home currently the only option to see something further would be to connect using my duckdns domain, but as @bachoo786 wrote it is not working yet.

One more thing I noticed - app should check if there is internet connection at all before attempting to scan network.

Please download the apk from http://surodev.com/ariela/app-release.apk and please try again now

“Contains ads”

:frowning:
I would rather pay few quids to have an app which respects my privacy.

A PRO version will be available for you in a few hours.

bachoo786 can you tell me if latest apk works with duckdns?

as soon as i choose 1 of the groups (devices, lights, etc) it shows the chosen entities and right after that it flips back to the menu where i have to choose what to see.
and why is sensors missing?

and do you still think about my issues from before?

Will HAnotify be included in the app or will I always have to install an apk for it to work ?

Its already included in Ariela. You just need to install the py component on your server. For more details check GitHub - MCrissDev/HANotify: Android actionable notifications for Home Assistant and Ariela client

Thanks fore reporting the issue i will investigate it. About other issues i added them to my TODO list so i didn’t forget about.

Hello,

For the next big release, what kind of futures would you like to see in the application?

What i am currently working on:

  • device tracker functionality
  • new authentication support

I am waiting for your ideas wanting to make Ariela best Android Home Assistant client.

Hello yrune,
That is already in progress and it should be available in maximum 1 week.

ok, I just purchase the pro app, not because I have any use for it at this state but because I like your enthusiastic development.

But one question, there was some talk of https support, I have https and it allways work, but I’ve noticed every couple of days I check the app (because of new version) I have to redo the setup. Also it will not discover my HA. I have to manually enter it. Is this because of https ?

Will do some notify testing now

I cannot get the notify to work. Just to be clear, in the instructions it says:
4. Install the HANotify.apk file onto your android device (or compile it in Android Studio).
but I’m supposed to skip this part, because it’s inluded in Ariela ?

I notice there is a config file with a token in my HA conf folder, so I assume there is some sort of connection. But simple nor advanced notifications work. The token config does list as “unnamed device” though, not the name I set in Ariela.
