Arris-tg2492lg Integration - Invalid header value

@avb I’m getting an error when using the arris-tg2492lg Integration with a Virgin Media Hub 3.0 in Ireland.

The last line starts with ValueError: Invalid header value b'credential=.

I’ve linked to the log below as too large to post here.

Are you able to assist? Let me know if you need more information.

Sorry, for my late reply. I’ve missed your message. It appears your router isn’t compatible with this integration.

The error is caused by the login function not being successful. It should return a token, which then can be used to retrieve the connected devices, but it actually returned a webpage. Which I can see from your logging. This is not a response I would expect based on the experiences I have with my own router. Which is an Arris router provided, as the Connect Box, by a Dutch cable operator.

Are you sure you have an Arris TG2492LG router? It appears the Virgin Media Hub can, just like the Connect Box, be one of multiple routers. Maybe the UPC Connect Box - Home Assistant integration works for you.

If you have the Arris router then it probably has an incompatible software version. Without having that same version running on my own router I’m not able to update the integration…

@avb Thanks for the pointer. Looks like it is indeed a different router.

I’m getting past the login with the upc_connect integration though still having issues. But its a start so I’ll follow up with that developer.

Thanks,
