Assign a device tracker to a Zone

Hi. I am pretty new to this, so I hope I get the wording right. I have a second device tracker set up at a remote location (via VPN). With this I could assign a Person to one of the Zones. But I see no way to assign a tracker (router) to a different Zone than home. Is this possible? And if not: Why not?
