Assign area to tuya and xiaomi zigbee devices

Hi community!
I’ve been playing with Hass for a week now and there’s one thing I still can’t figure out…
I have some Tradfri devices, some Xiaomi and some tuya.
The tradfri are configured directly from the integration panel, and there I can assign an area to each devices.
However tuya and xiaomi are configured via a service in the configuration.yaml file.
For these devices I can’t find how to assign an area…

Anybody has a trick for that?

Hi everyone,

I’m finding this frustrating too, not being able to easily assign devices to an area. Home Assistant is great but very frustrating at times for something that seems so simple. I’m trying to set up a customized attribute for room but get “It seems that your configuration.yaml doesn’t properly include customize.yaml
Changes made here won’t affect your configuration.”. Tried adding customize: !include customize.yaml but that wasn’t liked either.

Ignore part about “It seems that your configuration.yaml doesn’t properly include customize.yaml
Changes made here won’t affect your configuration.” as home assistant does update customize.yaml so no need for the error!. Would still like any feedback regarding areas though. Thanks.
