The new Assist has a lot of potential.
But not being able to use the microphone on mobile if you’re home (on local network) is a probably not ideal.

I am sure I tested the mic when it was first launched, but now I do not have the option too.
Did you solve your problem?
I think so. No complaints about microphone access, but I can’t test either, I get Timeout running pipeline
every time I try using voice, so something else has probably broken in the meantime…
I am having the same issue with Assist. The microphone will not work while on my home network despite being logged in via Home Assistant Cloud. If I turn off wifi it works fine. Anyone else solve this?
I have the same problem. Do I always need to login with my cloud adress for Remote Access?
Use the companion app, it can be used with “http”, not https. This is not a HA error, it’s simply that all standard browsers require a secure (https) connection, if the use of the microphone is wanted.
Thanks for your reply, but unfortunately I get the very same error when I use the IOS companion app with wifi.
I also recently started getting the same error. I can confirm that it worked with app version 2023.6.0 and no longer worked on 2023.8.2 (I was able to “fix” it by just creating another assistant). I suspect it has something to do with this change, but I’m not sure how: Implement native Assist by jpelgrom · Pull Request #3589 · home-assistant/android · GitHub
