Assistance needed - Andersen Translator (Verilock Door Window Sensors)

I got a an Andersen Verilock Sensor for my sliding glass door, that reports lock status and open/close status. It communicates to a Translator device that connects through z-wave.

It supposedly works out of the box with wink and nexia. here is some documentation:
https://products.z-wavealliance.org/ProductManual/File?folder=&filename=Manuals/1173/18-HD75D1-1-EN.pdf

With that documentation, I got the translator connected over z-wave to homeassistant, and connected my door sensor to the translator.

Now I get this in the OZW_Log when I Open/Close/lock/unlcok the door:

Open:

I’m not sure where to go from here. looks like there is some community code for smartthings to make this work there…
https://community.smartthings.com/t/andersen-windows-connect-verilock-translator/85882/31

If anyone can help me out, I’d appreciate it. trying to not get in trouble for leaving the door unlocked!

Hey! So, I’m trying to get one of these working on my network as well. From what your logs tell me, it looks like you didn’t add it as a Secure Zwave device.

This is what I see in my logs

That said, I’m still having issues with it. See here: Zwave Sensor State not changing

thanks for the tip. I removed the translator from the zwave network, and re-added it via a secure add. I’m still getting essentially the same type of messages in the log when I unlock/lock/open and close the door. I actually did this twice to make sure I hit the secure add after receiving the same type of response from the translator.

Here’s an unlock/lock sequence.

@chriskacerguis I factory reset the Translator, and re-paired it, I am now getting events in my log that match what you posted. But I’m not getting any working sensors either.

As as side note, I go my translator from a seller on ebay. Even though I bought 1, he sent me 3 of them (all used but better then paying full price). I have been trying to de-commission my smartthings hub, but pulled out one of the additional translators, and paired it with smartthings. Added the code I linked to above for the devices, and enrolled my door sensor. Smartthings is able to read the lock status and open/close status. Also the 2 translators are both able to see and read from the 1 sensor at the same time. so I can use this via the smartthings bridge, while at the same time try to troubleshoot the native ozw connection.

Any luck getting this to work correct? I’ve purchased one of these and they are a neat device if I can get it integrated to HA…

I gave up and got a sdr dongle and am able to use the rtl_433 program via a hassio addon to get the lock signals directly with out the translators.

Anyone ever get the Verilock translator working with HA? Or how did you get rtl_433 working with the Andersen window devices? Can I do that through MQTT?

I originally followed the how to in this thread, the verilock sensor show up as honeywell devices via rtl433: https://community.home-assistant.io/t/honeywell-5800-series-345mhz-door-and-window-sensor-integration-with-ha

After figuring out the device I ended up using this add-on to run the rtl433 to mqtt: https://github.com/james-fry/hassio-addons/tree/master/rtl4332mqtt
