Asus RT-AC87R (Asuswrt-Merlin)
Raspberry Pi 4 Model B Rev 1.1
Ethernet Cable Connected (Tried known working cables)
Hassio install successful. Able to access via hassio.local:8123.
Problem: Asus router not showing IP address or that it is connected in the client list. MAC address not listed under DHCP Server manual assignment. Samba installed and working. SSH & Web Terminal working. Able to ping outside world, but not able to port forward because router doesn’t recognize the Pi.
Correct. I found IP using Fing app. My router acts like the Pi doesn’t exist on the network. Absolutely zero ID anywhere in my router settings. Therefore, I can’t manually assign a static IP via router.
Power down. Plug in monitor, keyboard and mouse. Power up. Hassio showed up on router and network. Powered down. Unplugged monitor, keyboard and mouse. Powered back up and it stayed.
