I am working on an audio system for an outdoor space and am using a MiniDSP 2x4HD directly followed by two power amps, one for the mains and one for the subs. I’m looking for a passive analog audio attenuator (likely a motorized potentiometer) that can go before the power amps to act as a master volume control to be remotely controlled by a physical control on the patio (the equipment will be located in a rack inside). I’m guessing this is going to be a roll-my-own project with ESPHome and a motorized pot, but before I start on that I figured I’d ask if anyone has any ready-to-go solutions.
