Audio with camera

Hello,
I am reading about a door bell without the nedd of cloud access.
I see Hikvision can be a candidate.

I would like if it is possible to capture the audio field of the camera and to redirect to an media player, for example chrom cast.

If it is not possible I would like to know how users do to deal with camera whithout cloud. For example, is the app of hikvision able to deal with wifi (without third party access) ?

How to organise flux with camera ie doorbell without cloud ?

Many thanks for your repsonse.
Best regards

None of the camera / video streams come with audio in HA.
I have that hikvision doorbell and it’s no exception. The audio comes on the hik-connect app, but not on in HA.
to get the video stream in HA, simply connect to the RTSP stream.

Many many thanks for your reply.
So, if I understand, I will be unable to take flux from camera and redirect to an Sony TV. Right?
I can have an event with the doorbell button and run a text to speech message on the TV, or sonos media player.
The doorbell can send an event on my android phone if I am at home only because I don’t want the cloud subscription.
Last question, are you happy with hikvision camera and doorbell?
Regards.

You should be able to send the camera stream to your TV via the stream service, though I’ve not tried that yet. There is no event sent when someone presses the doorbell button and the hikvision binary sensor doesn’t work with this camera.
The way I worked around that was to use motion / motioneye to perform a motion detection and send a message to ha via mqtt so that tensorflow could see if the motion is due to a person ( rather than rain, birds etc)
Alternatively you could use tasker on Android to capture the doorbell event via the hik connect app but I don’t really use android so I have no idea how to implement this
These limitations / quirks aside I’m happy with the doorbell because it was cheaper that your standard nest hello / ring doorbell and there is no subscription
