This is the SSW02GX-ZB in HA
You only see the relay controls, no button sensors.
There are configuration to control the light rings, but only off, LightWhenOn,LightWhenOff. No always on. But in any case, these configuration are not working…

Disappointing, but thank you for the feedback.
I’ve yet to see any off the self device, wifi or zigbee that give access to the bottom as sensor. They all just seem to have the button (and highlight led) hardwired to the relay. It would be great if they did.
These zigbee switches have routing function
The button is blue when light is off, and red when it is on.
1,2,3 & 4 gang available.
I’m using it with Zigbee2MQTT
Morning all,
Please advise me the DIN Rail WIFI, 63 A energy monitoring MCB or RCCB, please. Instead of using CT clamps, I like to install just three numbers of this. olar, main Grid and one more.
Thanks
Where abouts in Melbourne?
I’m in Sunbury and have a local guy who does all my electrical work, has worked with Shelly and Ikuu kit.
I have one of those, worked fine for a few weeks, then started buzzing non-stop.
As it was in may daughter’s room I chose to pull it out for safety (and noise).
Have fired it up a couple more times and the buzzing resumes instantly.
I’ve got a couple of Mercator Ikuu SPPUSB02 units and will be ripping them out soon for two main reasons:
The primary purpose of one of them was for the laundry, and it just kept tripping non-stop which resulted in washing machine loads going forever or the dryer continually stopping (both units handle power fluctuations differently).
In any case, I didn’t want a $100 power point ruining whitegoods that are worth considerably more.
Even the kitchen unit only has a toaster plugged into it, and last night I heard it flick off and on late at night when not being used.
I’m quite disappointed that these are the only real options out there.
We’re about to upgrade our switchboard as our old switchboard dates from about the 1960s. Anything worthwhile considering from a home automation approach? We don’t want to spend crazy money but the upgrade is already going to cost us a few grand so a couple of hundred more won’t make any difference.
On the hardware side, I suggest RCBOs as they are both RCD and overload protection. It means if a device trips, it doesn’t take out your whole house and allows most of the smart stuff to continue functioning.
Make sure you get some Surge Protection fitted to help protect all your valuable appliances and home automation devices.
Check what the available options are when you click the “+” next to Automations: these days, the preferred implementation of stateless buttons is to have them appear as device triggers and not entities.
I’m in Sunbury, too. I’m tossing up between Ikuu Zigbee mechs to replace my current clipsal ones, or Shelley’s behind the existing switches. My electrician has just retired, so I’m looking for someone local!
Any chance you can flick me your sparky’s details?
Mine’s been fine, no buzzing like you’ve mentioned and working with no issues.
Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for some smart plugs preferably with energy monitoring and locally controlled? For some reason I can’t only search a certain number of posts in this topic and the latest I can see anything is from 2020?
Thanks in advanced!
I’m using ESPhome-flashed ones from Athom Tech: https://www.athom.tech/blank-1/esphome-au-plug
They work damn well, are decently priced, decent form factor, and ship quickly from Sydney.
I’ve got 6 currently, just ordered 2 more yesterday.
Have done the. TP-Link and Meross ones before, even the Arlec attempt, can’t beat these.
Hi everyone
So many posts to read =)
I want to buy some Zigbee RGB down lights
Are all tuya based ones recognised in ZHA? Too much hassle to change to z2m.
Which ones would you recommend?
I have half a dozen or so but I don’t think these Athom units are certified here, which is the theme of this thread, Australia certified devices only.
Also note this thread on them:
I’ve had one fail completely, and another not be able to reliably switch. I only use them as monitors, not as switches.
I didn’t realise they weren’t certified!
I’ve had absolutely no issues with any of mine for the part year, and know a bunch of other Aussies who also use them.
It’s a shame, as they are better than the Ikuu crap which is certified.
Would be great if you add your experiences to the thread;). Your mates too;)
