Hello, everyone,
I’m having a little trouble with the HACS Auto Backup integration. I know that now the HA authors have prepared a more sophisticated native backup system, however I continue to use Auto Backup - if only because it has different status sensors (backup successful/failed, backup pending, last backup times, allert in case of failure …). I run 2 Home Assistants at different locations, both more or less similarly setup, both have Auto Backup installed, both have either NAS or a shared network drive set as backup target, not local HA storage (both external storage is easily accessible for each HA). Now: one Home Assistant correctly saves regular Auto Backups to a shared location indeed, the other constantly saves Auto Backups to local storage. The default backup settings on this HA point to the network drive, if I perform a manual or even an automatic backup using native HA resources, the backups are saved correctly to the remote address. Thus, only backups that are created via Auto Backup are still and always saved to local storage. I don’t know how to deal with this problem - does anyone have any ideas, experience? (I tried to contact the author of Auto Backup on GitHub - so far he doesn’t answer ). Thanks for the advice!
