Autocomplete changes - any cure on the horizon? feel need to roll back

Hi guys, my H.A. updates without delay is biting me here. Everything from 5 years of typing in Home Assistant is now wrong with the new autocomplete features creating typo issues in my template editing work. Of course biting me at high pressure times using mobile devices.

I can roll back to a previous version for now, but are we going to get any relief from the autocomplete settings automatically throwing in closing quotes, brackets, etc?

Also, it is no longer possible to highlight a block of text and replace it with a keystroke. Template text interface box now filters and for certain characters, does not replace highlighted text. Simple act of replacing a block of text with a single end quote, now inserts the quote at the beginning of the highlighted text. When pressing Delete following the unexpected insert, it leaves """ three quote marks, then when I press backspace it deletes two of them at once, breaking the entire template until I re-add a quote mark. Frustrating and counterintuitive to say the least. People that cannot code should use visual editors... the new autocomplete is painful for trained humans.

Am I missing a setting change?

Otherwise this is forced hand holding that hurts. I $%#@&^$ will type the closing bracket and quote exactly where and when I want to, having autocomplete place them for me is not helping.

The work-around of do the text efforts in another platform does not really work with my field efforts to move my H.A. project forward while wandering the globe on my day job...

I wish it were that simple. There was some discussion about this annoying "feature" on the forums a few weeks ago.
