Home Assistant became so important in my house that if I was to lose everything today, it would take me days if not weeks to rebuild it from scratch. Naturally, storing the backups in the same VM that HA is running is no longer feasible.
I run my home assistant in the appliance VM on Hyper-V. I have a separate NFS Share elsewhere on the network where I would like to have my backups moved to automatically.
Surprisingly, I cannot find any guide on how to do it, but at the same time I refuse to believe I am the first person that wants to automate home assistant backups.
So my questions is, how do I automate Home Assistant backups to be stored in a remote NFS share? In-menu setting only allows a backup to be manually created and stored locally, and if I want it moved elsewhere I would have to manually download and store it every day.
Any ideas?
