Automatic switch off automation that is robust to restarts?

I have an automation that turns off a switch 8 hours after it was turned on. This works great, most of the time. But if the server has to be restarted (which happens sometimes), it fails.

If I wanted to make this automation super robust, and work even if the server needs to be restarted during those 8 hours, can you think of a way to do it?

Set an input datetime at the start and switch off the automation 8 hours later?
