Automatically adjust brightness of light based on value of the lux sensor (which script works out of the box?)

Dear HomeAsisstant users,

I have tested numerous scripts and templates to automatically adjust the brightness of the lights, based on the value(s) of my Xiaomi Lux sensor.

Each script and/or Blueprint tested has some kind of problems.
The blueprint “Smart Light Dimmer V2.1” returns an error: two or more values in the same group of exclusion ‘Color descriptors’ @ data[].

Other scripts are almost bug free, but also do not work properly.

My question is: Is there an easy out of the box script/blue-print available for Homeassistant that actually works fine?

Thank you very much in advance for your answer.

System: RPI4B

Version: Latest and greatest of HA (always up to date)

Really nobody? :frowning: :frowning:

Hi, do you have found a script that does work?

I haven’t setup HA yet, my only goal is to setup exactly this, adjust light intensity based on a lux sensor.
In my case it’s a Hue setup.

Just curious. Thanks.

Install the integration Adaptive lighting - this will do what you want, but better.

You’ll end up with two modes: “regular” and “sleep” - and you can configure the brightness and colour temperature for each. the “regular” will adapt to brightness, while “sleep” is just the lowest you’ll want the light to go when you turn on a light at night. Enjoy!
