Automatically set sensor state at HA startup

Hi,

Im having an issue with a siren in my environment. Everytime HA is restarted, two of the settings are returned to 0, while i need one of them to be ‘3’
sensor.vision_zm1601eu5_battery_operated_siren_alarm_type

How (and where) can I define that this value is ‘3’ every time the service starts?

Thanks.

that value should surely be saved in the device itself. I use Hass.IO and go to the z-wave config page where you can assign these values and it sends them out to the device. If you are not using Hass.IO I guess you will need to do this from OpenZWave Control Panel or whatever

The Z-Wave control panel is in all the installs of Home Assistant, and has been since before Hass.io was released

As @sparkydave said, those are provided by, and stored in, the device.

Yeah, that’s what I meant. I use Hassio so it’s built in rather than openzwave CP which seems like a lot more effort from what I can tell.

Thanks lads, I was using AIO and just recently switched to hassbian. so used to ozwcp. Found the setting and fixed it.

Hi Vince,

I see you are using the Vision ZM1601.
Can you tell me what Z-Wave Entity I need to put this device into Strobe only?
The documentation talks about parameters, but not z-wave entity instances.

Thanks in advance,
Olav
