I’m using HA with various audio sources with playback over my SONOS speakers. I have one big gap though. I also want to be able to play / resume podcasts that are on my phone using a SONOS speaker in my office.
Not sure this is possible, so asking for your opinion.
Current setup.
Mobile:
iPhone using the Apple Podcasts app to listen whilst walking or driving.
Office:
Home Assistant, LocalBytes LocalDeck (ESPHome based) with buttons (scripted with NodeRed) to play / pause, play radio 2, play radio 4, volume up and down.
SONOS speakers.
I want to configure another button on the LocalDeck to resume/pause the podcasts - the podcast and position reached need to be synchronised with the iPhone or send a request to the iPhone to do the same and stream the audio to the SONOS speaker.
Is this something that the HA mobile app, or Apple Shortcuts can help with?
