call me silly, but I just realized all automations show the last-changed in the more info popup. which is pretty useless isn’t it, as it gets reset on each restart, and, (in my config) really does nothing else but show that last restart?
Ofc I have the frontend configured to show last-triggered, which Is very useful. More-info also shows that, but the last_changed, well why is it there. Maybe the more-info could be remolded to replace the last-changed with the last-triggered and cut a line of space
btw, it even shows last-changed on never triggered automations…
Every entity in the more info page shows last changed, you’re thinking too much into this. There’s no domain based logic. Simply “Show the entity name and the last changed”.
but it is useful, if you turn the automation off then on, your last_updated will be shown. Just because you don’t use features does not mean it’s not useful.
ofc, that’s not what I meant! Didnt want to give that impression at all.
and turning on/off, yes, thats true too. maybe not as useful, since aren’t we instructed to have automations be on as much as possible, and use helpers to have them trigger or not…?
But, besides that, I guess that was what I overlooked indeed, so thx for opening my eyes on that.
