Automation to trigger an alarm based on location and status of a door

Originally, I had an automation that would set my alarm system to away based on the status of some internal doors and to home if those same doors were open. I replaced a sensor and somehow destroyed the automation.

Anyway, I have been trying to rebuild based on my basic understanding of HA, and nothing seems to be working as I hoped.

I was trying to start small - when I run this from HA, the system sets to away even when the door is open. Ultimately, I would like to be able to have everything in one automation - Home for when the doors are open and away for when the doors are closed.

I have also tried States and Conditions.

If you are running this by clicking run automation then the triggers and more importantly the conditions are all ignored.
