Do you mean the SCALE “app” for Home Assistant? If so, it does provide the official Home Assistant configuration but rather one that is manually created by the app’s maintainer.

It’s the TrueNAS SCALE app, correct. Not sure why the config was missing a bunch of stuff then.
The SCALE app for Home Assistant is not maintained by someone who uses Home Assistant and understands the requirements. Their configuration file is opinionated and pre-configured to use a Postgres database. They have created generate their own configuration file and do not provide the same defaults as an officially supported instance of Home Assistant.
EDIT: Here’s a link to the config they provide. It’s missing the things you mentioned.

I had to make an account to say this was very helpful. I couldn’t understand what I was doing wrong but the fix is super easy. I added to the issue someone submitted on the github but that’s been sitting for two months without anyone touching it.
Had the same issue. Random single quote mark was somehow present in my automation yaml file. Don’t think I put it there as it was in an older automation, rather than a newly created one.
