Hi,
Has anyone seen or attempted integration with AutoPi.io - looks like the perfect solution for integrating vehicles into HA
I’ve purchased a dongle waiting on it’s arrival

Hi! Any update on an integration between HA and AutoPI? I’m about to get one dongle, but I want to be sure about the possibilities :slight_smile:

Although I found mqtt and IFTT integrations, I hope for a component for this.

I don’t have an AutoPi myself, but I’m guessing you get it to put OBDII data over MQTT?

If so you don’t need any extra components to do this, just use MQTT sensors.

I did look at the autopi.io site but didn’t really find out what the typical useage of it is.

EDIT: Another options here would just to use a Bluetooth OBDII adaptor, but I’ve only used this solution a few times.

Did anything move in that direction?
I can see a lot of similar widgets so that could be pretty compatible integration as a whole.

I’ve bought an AutoPi recently and will look into this. The most promising direction is to use the built-in MQTT integration provided by autopi. However it seems to have trouble working by default.
Once it will be working, home-assistant integration of MQTT should pick up automatically the data.
Backup solution, use: GitHub - topeju/autopi_mqtt: MQTT returner, cache and management service for AutoPi which will be easier to update/tweak to have correct format expected by HA.
