Availability of 0.86.4?

Hello

I know that 0.86.4 is out from 28/01 (fix for asuswrt) but not advertise in dashboard .

I really need this upgrade since lots of my automation depend on this component.

Do you have an ETA for 0.86.4 release in Hass.io ?

Thanks have a nice day

Same here! Somehow I’m not getting this upgrade. Not even with a forced update with ssh…

Can you try with the command: hassio homeassistant upgrade --version 0.86.4

Already tried that too

managed to get my hassio up to version 0.86.4 and the asuswrt component is still failing.

Are you using username / pass or a key file… just curious?

username and keyfile, same error message as per previous versions…

…cryptography.exceptions.UnsupportedAlgorithm: X25519 is not supported by this version of OpenSSL.

wait for 86.5 , will be out soon to fix asuswrt

Guess I won’t hold my breath for the update… I’m went back to 0.85.1 which has been stable for me and will stay until I get better news. I’m also going to take a shot at the Google location sharing.

Thanks for the quick reply!

im tempted to fire up a seperate docker home assistant on an old version just for the asus component, because having been without it for nearly a week you really notice now much I have come to rely on the presence detection and this component seems to be breaking almost every other version these days.

Yes both of the 2 last propositions sounds good

Thanks for your share

I was waiting on 0.86.4 just for that… I’ll go back to 85.1

I tried Bluetooth as a tracker which worked good but my problem was appearing to be away because my phone was out of range a lot, my house is long and I can easily move out of range.

I just tried Google location sharing… problems there too I’m not willing to fight with so 0.85.1 is where I’m staying for awhile apparently, it’s doing everything I want it too for now and has been relatively trouble free for me.

the trouble comes when you want a new component that isn’t offered in an earlier release so at that point you need to make a choice between the new component and the old working component. That’s a crappy place to be stuck in and kind of sucks…

And not to mention the potential for loads of breaking changes that you will need to deal with all at once.

100% agree… and some of the custom cards now have 0.86.x as a requirement so as you say, in addition to catching up on myriad breaking changes when you finally upgrade… it’s a shitty place to be.

Has anyone seen this update come up yet? I’m on 0.85.1 and it still only shows 0.8.6.3 upgrade on the dashboard.

The wait does seem usually long this time around. That said, I’m looking for an update one version beyond – 0.86.5 or maybe 0.87 – to fix a pylutron problem.

Hi Marvin
Hass.io update take some time to be available see that here under UPGRADING paragraph https://www.home-assistant.io/hassio/

That’s the reason I first post that question.

But since I had return from user that are on 0.86.4 (other OS) and that they say it won’t fix the asuswrt bug… I revert to 85.1 and wait

0.86.4 is now available regarding https://s3.amazonaws.com/hassio-version/stable.json !

Thanks for the responses… I too am waiting for a 0.86.5 or greater was just curious if my install was messed up and not showing the current available upgrade, this one is taking a long time.

Going back to 0.85.1 gave me no solution either. Somehow Asuswrt is also broken in 0.85.1 for (although it worked before upgrading to 0.86.x). So I started over: new installation (0.86.3) and reverted it back to 0.85.1. Restored a back up from 0.85.1 and: broken again :frowning: . I have no clue how this is possible…have to find a more stable solution.

Hello pingme
I was on 0.83.1 before, so I just used this backup, write it back on SD card and then upgrade to 0.85.1

Everything ok now

I alway have 2 SD card with identical config and version, the main reason is for SD card failure.
Also when I update home assistant on one of them I can quickly move back to precedent config with the other card.
