AVM Smart Gateway Integration

I am running an AVM Fritzbox 7590 with about 25 DECT/HAN-FUN devices extended with an AVM Smart Gateway which controls about 25 Zigbee devices. Do I understand it correctly that the AVM FRITZ!SmartHome integration for Home Assistant can handle only the DECT/HAN-FUN but not the Zigbee devices from the AVM Smart Gateway?

This subforum/section in the forum is primarly about the built-in ZHA integration and Zigbee devices/products that you can specifically use with that ZHA integration, (as technically when talking about other integrations you are not dealing with Zigbee but instead whatever API/ABI/CLI interface that those third-party gateways/bridges/hubs/controllers uses to connect to Home Assistant), so you want to instead ask that question in the “Configuration” subforum/section in the forum → https://community.home-assistant.io/c/configuration/11

It would be different if your question was how to connect AVM/Fritz branded Zigbee devices to the built-in ZHA integration using a Zigbee Coordinator radio adapter USB dongle that is compatible with the said built-in ZHA integration in Home Assistant (to use that native Zigbee gateway). I’ve the Fritz!Box 7690 running Fritz!OS 7.61.
With the Home Assistant AVM FRITZ!Smart Home integration not only the DECT devices but also the Zigbee devices are forwarded.
As zigbee devices I’ve some switchable sockets, 2 ikea water sensors and 2 lights (which are not on the compatibility) list.

I’ve noticed, that the on/off status is not allways correct shown, both in the Fritzbox and in Home Assistant.
Switching the devices once is fast. However, it takes a while till the feedback comes back to home assistant and it gets very slow if you change it often within a short time (e.g. Fading the light every second).

Forwarding these devices with the matter Bridge plug in works also very well :slight_smile:

Hi! Thanks for this message, just to clarify:

You have the 7690, the Smartgateway and you´ve got the devices integrated? Have you been able to get the AVM Tools running for the Smartgateway?
I am just trying to figure out how to get this done and have the ZigBee devices from Radio-perspective connected as well ?
Just want to have one ZigBee network …
