Hi there,
With 2024.8 it was announced to easily create badges within dashboard from the UI.
I do have a dashboard only with Tiles and when I try to edit it, no UI option in the upper screen appears.
It works in other dashboards, I.e. with switches.
Any idea please.
Thanks in advance

The ‘view type’ of the dashboard seems to affect if you can create badges or not. I had one that was Masonry (layout-card) I had to change to Masonry (Default) in order to create some badges.
At least in these cases you will not have a possibility to add badges:
Yaml-driven dashboard (since they are managed via yaml).
Automatically generated dashboard (never used these ridiculous dashboards myself, just a guess).
Views based on a custom:layout-card (probably; it was not possible before 2024.8 and may be still not possible now).
Hmm, I just used Tiles with vertical and horizontal stacks.
The only thing I changed in YAMl was to give the tile a title.
type: vertical-stack
title: room1
cards:
If this is means controlled from YAML than there might be a root cause. But beside of this single change the tiles could be configured via UI.
No guessing needed. They used to be a default part of the autogenerated dashboard a long time ago but were removed in 2021.2
