I would recommend that you consider using Docker though. If only because each year HA deprecates support for anything other than the current and previous major Python versions.
That means that this December support for Python 3.9 will be removed (and support for anything older is long gone).
Each year you’ll need to ensure that you have an updated Python build and create a fresh venv for it. If you don’t have experience with installing software from source, and troubleshooting the problems that come with that, then you may encounter issues.
Docker removes all of that pain.
