`base_url`. Please review the component requirements

Does anyone have the fix for this error? “base_url. Please review the component requirements.”
i get this when i put in the token number for smart things, i am using the Nabu Casa cloud. I have not had any luck getting this intergration to work.

Your base_url should be your externally accessible url, not a token.

sorry for not being clear in my question, i do have the token in the pop-up that asked for token to be copied. when i sumit the request. thats when i get the base_url fault

Yes, but do you have have an externally accessible url set in the base_url key in your http component?

i have tried the url from the clouds remote UI and i have tried the cloud webhook that it gives at the bottom of the cloud page. i have read that things need to be deleted and tried again but i have no clue where this data is held at. my config yaml only has 17 lines in it

According to the docs you either use cloud or need to configure base_url.

I think you possibly need to go back to the start and make sure you’re configuring it correctly for the cloud platform.

Chiming in because I’m struggling to get the new iOS companion app (2.0.0) working, and it complaining that I don’t have the base_url setting. I don’t use cloud, and only use Hassio on my local network so I don’t have a base_url, and I’m trying to figure out what it should look like, to see if it will fix the app.

@anon43302295 mentioned the “docs”, could you provide a more specific reference, as I’m having a hard time finding details?

Much appreciated.

EDIT: I may have found it. Its part of the http integration (fka component).

I was referring to the smartthings integration docs :slightly_smiling_face:

still lost but thanks for you help @anon43302295 . i have followed the you tube and home assistant pages and havent found what i am missing or doing wrong.

No worries, sorry but I don’t use smartthings so I can’t be any more help on this one :slightly_smiling_face:
