Hey there all, I’m a long time NR and HA user who recently upgraded HA via Docker to find that the two are no longer talking. I noticed this first in HA as it gave me a notification that NR is not a valid integration… which sent off some alarm bells. Then when I looked back at NR I see it’s also not talking to HA with the familiar message;
Node-RED custom integration needs to be installed in Home Assistant for this node to function correctly.
Of course, I’ve done quite a bit of searching, especially against the phrase Breaking Changes but I’m not coming up with anything. What it appears is that the NR integration was removed from HA? It’s not listed on the site and I can’t find references to it anywhere else in the UI except my broken integration…
I’ve obviously missed a lot of news, haven’t been paying attention because everything was running smoothy and got bored and attempted to try the latest HA image via Docker… so what did I miss to get this back on track?
It’s not but that wasn’t needed prior, I did bookmark that page in my search… so it was removed from HA core? I have 91 entities that I really don’t want to start over with here. In less than happy about this change, very frustrating. I’d really love to abandon HACS, I get very little value out of it now.
I guess some basic functionalities should be available without the integration. Are all nodes broken?
If yes, you could try reconfiguring your HA server in NR.
I had to use the integration since I started with NR 1,5 years ago.
